This week is our Fall Wellness Week, and focus is on Surrendered Sexuality, finding wholeness in a broken world.
Back by popular demand is Lina AbuJamra, founder of Living with Power Ministries and a popular Bible teacher, podcaster, and recent DEEPER LIFE Series speaker.
Lina is the host of a radio show and the author of several books, including Fractured Faith and Through the Desert: A Study on God’s Faithfulness. Her latest book, Don’t Tell Anyone You’re Reading This, a Christian doctor’s thoughts on sex, shame, and other troublesome issues, was just released.
Lina is a pediatric ER doctor who practices telemedicine and in her “spare” time, she provides medical care and humanitarian help to Syrian refugees and others in disaster areas.
Would you please welcome back to Bethel, Lina AbuJamra.
This morning we are blessed to hear from our very own Congressman Rudy Yakym, a fourth generation Hoosier who is proud to represent the people of Indiana’s Second District.
Born and raised in South Bend, Rudy received a bachelor’s degree in business finance and administration from Indiana University South Bend, and his Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Prior to his election to Congress, Rudy served as Director of Growth Initiatives at Kem Krest, a company specializing in removing friction from supply chains.
Rudy loves Jesus, his family, and representing Bethel and our surrounding district in Washington, D.C.
He and his wife Sallyann live in Granger with their three wonderful children. They worship at New Life Baptist Church just down the street, where Rudy serves the congregation as Head Usher.
We’re excited to hear from Kerwin Rodriguez this morning. Kerwin has taught preaching, spiritual formation, and church ministry at colleges, seminary, and workshops for almost fifteen years. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Preaching and Church Ministries at the Moody Bible Institute.
He is a co-editor and contributing author to the One Volume Seminary: A Complete Ministry Educational Resource through Moody Publishing. Kerwin and his wife, Meredith live in Chicago, IL with their three sons.
Missionary Church President
This morning we’re privileged to hear from the President of the Missionary Church, Rev. Rodney Arnold.
In 2009 Rodney planted OneLife Church in Knoxville, TN. The church, which started in his living room, has grown to include multiple campuses across Knoxville, and has planted four additional churches in East Tennessee.
While serving as a local pastor, Rodney has also served as a trainer and speaker across the country and denomination, and he has partnered with various networks to train pastors and church planters across Latin America.
Rodney is passionate about seeing the multiplication of disciples, churches, and networks both locally and internationally, as well as developing next generation leaders to lead Kingdom expansion in unique and creative ways.
Rodney and his wife, Harrison, have three children and in his spare time, he loves working with college students as mascot coach at the University of Tennessee.
This week is our annual IGNITE Series, a Spiritual Emphasis Week when we’re asking God to light a spiritual flame in each of us; one that will move us to know Him more fully, follow him more deeply, and reflect him more brightly.
Our guest speaker is Garrett Howell, teaching and prayer pastor of Asbury Church in Madison, Alabama. Garrett attended Indiana Wesleyan University for both his undergrad and graduate studies, during which he studied Christian Ministries and Practical Theology.
After college, he worked as an itinerant preacher to youth and college worship events before returning to IWU to launch a college ministry called Awaken.
In 2020, Garrett moved to Alabama to work at Asbury, a church with a God-given vision to see awakening in the college-age generation. He’s called to be a voice for renewal in the church and to teach people to pray.
