This week is our annual IGNITE Series, a Spiritual Emphasis Week when we’re asking God to light a spiritual flame in each of us; one that will move us to know Him more fully, follow him more deeply, and reflect him more brightly.

Our guest speaker is Garrett Howell, teaching and prayer pastor of Asbury Church in Madison, Alabama. Garrett attended Indiana Wesleyan University for both his undergrad and graduate studies, during which he studied Christian Ministries and Practical Theology.

After college, he worked as an itinerant preacher to youth and college worship events before returning to IWU to launch a college ministry called Awaken.

In 2020, Garrett moved to Alabama to work at Asbury, a church with a God-given vision to see awakening in the college-age generation. He’s called to be a voice for renewal in the church and to teach people to pray.

This morning, we are blessed to hear from Rev. Courtney Richards, founder and international director of RENEWED Ministries.

Courtney graduated from Bethel University with a degree in psychology; and Wheaton College with a Master’s in Psychology. He served at Bethel University during the 90s as director of student life, associate dean of students, assistant professor of psychology and counselor.

His mission takes him all of the world teaching on evangelism, mentoring and leadership training…and helping Christ followers to realize their full potential for the glory of God. This fall, his mission brought him back to Bethel University where he is serving as our campus Spiritual Advisor.

This morning we are blessed to hear from Scott Tuttle, a serial entrepreneur from Wakarusa, IN. He started out in the RV industry and has expanded to own a number of different businesses, as well as found jtwo non-profit organizations, including the Tuttle Family Foundation which provides funding to individuals and charities.

When he is not running one of his businesses, Scott can be found volunteering as a coach or mentor, participating in an outreach, or sharing with one of Bethel’s business/entrepreneurial classes.

This morning we are blessed to hear from Pastor Kent Koteskey. Yeah, that last name might be sound familiar. You may know his donut munching selfie posting brother, Keith. Kent is also 50% responsible for creating the fabulous Shelby Koteskey, a sophomore at BU.

Kent serves as Executive Pastor at Hope Missionary Church in scenic Bluffton, Indiana. He earned his undergraduate degree from Asbury University and his master’s degree from Huntington University.

Kent enjoys the great outdoors, a good cup of coffee, and his wife, Amy, who he’s been married to for 29 years. Together they have four children.
