Missionary Church President

This morning we’re privileged to hear from the President of the Missionary Church, Rev. Rodney Arnold.

In 2009 Rodney planted OneLife Church in Knoxville, TN. The church, which started in his living room, has grown to include multiple campuses across Knoxville, and has planted four additional churches in East Tennessee.

While serving as a local pastor, Rodney has also served as a trainer and speaker across the country and denomination, and he has partnered with various networks to train pastors and church planters across Latin America.

Rodney is passionate about seeing the multiplication of disciples, churches, and networks both locally and internationally, as well as developing next generation leaders to lead Kingdom expansion in unique and creative ways.

Rodney and his wife, Harrison, have three children and in his spare time, he loves working with college students as mascot coach at the University of Tennessee.

This week is our annual IGNITE Series, a Spiritual Emphasis Week when we’re asking God to light a spiritual flame in each of us; one that will move us to know Him more fully, follow him more deeply, and reflect him more brightly.

Our guest speaker is Garrett Howell, teaching and prayer pastor of Asbury Church in Madison, Alabama. Garrett attended Indiana Wesleyan University for both his undergrad and graduate studies, during which he studied Christian Ministries and Practical Theology.

After college, he worked as an itinerant preacher to youth and college worship events before returning to IWU to launch a college ministry called Awaken.

In 2020, Garrett moved to Alabama to work at Asbury, a church with a God-given vision to see awakening in the college-age generation. He’s called to be a voice for renewal in the church and to teach people to pray.
