We’re continuing our STORIES OF GRACE series, highlighting God’s faithfulness and loving-kindness in the lives of Bethel University faculty and staff. This morning we are blessed to hear from Dr. Stephen Martin.

Dr. Martin serves as the Chair of Music and Associate Professor of Music.  His work in music education, composition, conducting, and leadership spans more than twenty-five years.   Prior to Bethel, Stehen served as Director of Worship Studies, and Founding Director of the Angeles Worship Initiative at Azusa Pacific University.

As conductor, he has led a variety of choral and instrumental ensembles in various professional and educational settings.  As an orchestrator and arranger, he has scored music for choral settings, symphonic orchestra, chamber music, and jazz ensembles. 

Stephen is married to his wonderful wife, Shannon, and they have three children.
