Stories of Grace: Dr. Abson Joseph

We’re continuing our STORIES OF GRACE series, highlighting God’s faithfulness and loving-kindness in the lives of Bethel University faculty and staff.

We are blessed to hear from Dr. Abson Joseph, Bethel’s Vice President for Academic Services.

Prior to arriving at Bethel University, he served for 13 years at Indiana Wesleyan University, as the chief academic officer at Wesley Seminary and teaching New Testament in the School of Theology and Ministry.

Dr Joseph holds a Diploma in Theology from Caribbean Wesleyan College in Jamaica; a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary; and a Ph.D. in New Testament Interpretation from the London School of Theology/Brunel University, England. He is  also an ordained minister of the Wesleyan Church of Haiti.

 Dr. Joseph has authored and edited a number of books and published several book chapters and articles.

Abson is married to his wife Lara and they have two daughters. As a family, they enjoy sports, music, and travel.
